Dynamic Community Art

for All Ages + Abilities

A person with tattoos on their arm is sitting on a teal-colored surface, writing and drawing on a notebook with handwritten notes and sketches. There is a laptop nearby and a patterned pillow in the background.

Creative Pathways began as an experiment in Beth Bailey’s personal sketchbooks and has grown into a thriving community art project. Since 2023, hundreds of participants—from community centers to professional artist studios and the Boston Children’s Museum—have explored their creativity through this initiative.

A Unique Cycle of Work

“At the heart of my work is a simple cycle,” Beth shares.
Sketchbooks travel through studios, offices, libraries, and public spaces, gathering ideas and inspiration along the way.

“These pages are then transformed—sometimes into large-scale community artworks, sometimes into greeting cards, and sometimes into entirely new creations we imagine together.”

Each piece becomes a reflection of shared creativity and connection.

A Community-Driven Vision

Creative Pathways connects people, art, and communities. Every program inspires participants to discover and deepen their creativity while fostering connection and collaboration. By showcasing diverse perspectives, the project highlights creativity as both an individual and collective experience.

No New Ideas

Creative Pathways encourages revisiting and nurturing existing ideas rather than constantly seeking new ones. This philosophy fosters intentional and meaningful creativity, helping participants turn sparks of inspiration into glowing embers of artistic impact.
