Hi, I’m Beth

I'm a lifelong South Shore resident and MassArt alum, and much of my inspiration comes from playful, childlike drawings—the kind that spark a sense of nostalgia. My designs are often rooted in memories: the doodles we made as kids, the ones our children are making now, or even those we still sketch in the margins.

My professional studio practice has focused on ceramics for over a decade, and my background in painting and two-dimensional design has always been an essential part of my creative process. I bring that sensibility to the surface of my pottery through layered color, painting, drawing, and texture.

At the same time, through Creative Pathways, I’ve continued to explore collage and painting in community settings—developing richly layered, two-dimensional works with participants of all ages. Whether I’m working in clay, paper, or paint, surface-building is at the heart of what I do. It’s how I tell stories, create connection, and invite others to look a little closer.
