Hi, I’m Beth

Beth Bailey, a lifelong South Shore resident and alumna of MassArt, draws inspiration from playful, childlike drawings to evoke nostalgia in viewers. Her designs capture memories of doodles from our past, those our children create now, or the ones we sketch in the margins.

Beth’s professional studio practice has been centered on ceramics for over a decade, though her artistic journey began in painting. She holds dual degrees from MassArt in Painting and Community Arts Education. Beth’s background in two-dimensional design remains a vital part of her creative process, as she seamlessly incorporates her 2D aesthetic onto the surfaces of her pottery.

Since 2023, through her work with Creative Pathways, Beth has expanded her focus on 2D design elements and surface building into collage projects. She brings this approach to a diverse group of participants throughout her community, continuing nearly 15 years of working with various institutions to foster creativity and connection through art.
